Once you’ve mastered chords you will be able to harmonize melodies and songs like, “From Ashur to Ashbili” by Naseer Shamma and “If I had Wings” by El-Shirref Mohiey Eldeen Hidar and “Music Among the Nations,” by Ramy Adly, as well as American songs that require this style of advanced technique. By the end of this course, you will know the theory behind the chords and how you should apply them to the fingerboard. Upon completing this course you will earn your first certificate in “The School of Oud Online.” This course before the Master degree.

This course will focus on music theory; and will go in-depth of the 300 branches found in Maqams (which derive from Egypt, Babylon, and Iran). By the end of this course, you will be able to learn sheet music, solfege (pitch and sight-reading) and musical intervals through the scales and rhythms of Arab music.
